Spring Cleaning at the Wolf Cove Inn

Happy spring everyone (although I don’t think Mother Nature is aware of that – it was below zero here at Sugarloaf last night!) Renovations have reached a major milestone – all carpentry, electrical and plumbing rough-in work is complete and ready for inspection.

Spring Cleaning – Renovations Are Coming Along Nicely

After inspection of the rough-in work this week, sheet rock will start going up, and the new ceiling for the main dining/living room area will be installed. Next week brings the new flooring on the first floor, starting with a new sub-floor, then the final product. Things will really start to change fast! I can almost smell the freshly ground coffee and the strata baking in the oven.

Which isn’t to say we don’t have fun stuff to show. Lots of wall prepping and painting has been going on in areas not under construction. Here are some “before and after” shots that will cause you to start hitting the “book on-line” button on the web site! And we’ll wrap up this post with a few pictures to remind us that there is still lots to do.

After - The new Sugarloaf Bridal/Honeymoon suite. Once again you can see our dog Gabby inspecting the work. Just after this picture was shot we noticed she had a white snout!

The spa is now fitted into it's resting place in the new Acadia suite. By now, the tile around the spa has been installed and plumbing fixtures connected.

Still lots of work to do in the main entry foyer! Soon enough we'll see the new floor, freshly painted walls and a cool new light fixture (shhh, don't tell anyone - it's a secret!)
