Wolf Cove Inn Grand Room – Newly Renovated

April 4th, 2014 by wolfcoveinn

Happy sunny spring morning to everyone!  The new floor and ceiling are now installed in the grand room of the Wolf Cove Inn.  We also have the new flooring finished in the sun room.  I just had to share the “before and after” with you!

What you can’t see is all the insulation we’ve added into the ceiling above the room.  Prior to renovating there was no insulation in the ceiling.  We wanted to make sure our guests in second floor rooms aren’t disturbed by late night quiet (or not so quiet) conversations in the grand room.  It should also help out the late sleepers during morning breakfast time.

Still work to be done though.  The new window treatments aren’t in yet.  And I’ve just started refinishing the large built-in cabinet.  The next shots you’ll see of the grand room will be the finished product, including all new Thomasville furniture that we will use to create three separate gathering places in the room, along with the seating for dining.  We’ll also have new furniture creating a gathering spot in the sun room where we’ll also be serving wine and cheese on weekend afternoons.

If you are as excited as we are, please hurry up and Book Now!

The old grand room floor and ceiling. Hard to spot, but the old ceiling was really sagging.

Reminder of the "in-between" look - just a lame excuse to include Gabby in a picture.

The new grand room (thinking of changing that to the “Maine Room” to reflect our new Maine branding of the Inn) at the Wolf Cove Inn with the new floor and ceiling!

And the new sun room. We'll be setting this up as a gathering place rather than dining space (though you can eat there if you choose). We'll also be doing wine and cheese tastings on weekend afternoons.

And here is a preview of the new sun room (I’m thinking of calling it the “Sunny Delights Room”). We’ll be setting this up as a gathering place rather than dining space (though you can eat there if you choose).

    Roy,
Love seeing all of the picture of the progress that has been made. The new floors look beautiful and the improvements in the rooms painting them one color instead of all of that floral wallpaper. Looks great!

Rose Aikman was in the process of converting it into a Bed & Breakfast and I was so amazed at what she was attempting. I knew her from many years back as we were into fiber crafts. What an amazing task you have undertaking.. Good luck.

Love seeing all the progress. Rick and I will so enjoy seeing the new revitalized and once again loved Wolf Cove Inn. Like the ‘Maine Room’ name. But my two cents…’Sunny Delight’ sounds like a drink, in fact I think it is.
