Now Hiring: Assistant Innkeeper
Location: Wolf Cove Inn, Poland, Maine
Employment Type: Full-Time (5 Days/Week)
Pay Range: $18–$26 per hour (based on experience)
About Us
Wolf Cove Inn is a lakeside bed & breakfast known for warm hospitality, exceptional guest experiences, and an emphasis on quality service. We are looking for a full-time Assistant Innkeeper to support daily operations and provide an outstanding stay for our guests.
This is a hands-on, guest-focused role that involves front desk tasks, reservations, guest services, housekeeping oversight, and general inn operations. Culinary experience is a plus but not required—someone willing to step in for breakfast or dinner shifts occasionally would be ideal.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Services & Front Desk (Primary Focus)
- Welcome guests warmly and provide a seamless check-in/check-out experience.
- Handle reservations, phone calls, and inquiries with professionalism.
- Answer guest questions and offer recommendations for local attractions.
- Ensure a high-quality guest experience from arrival to departure.
Property & Housekeeping Oversight
- Ensure guest rooms and common areas remain clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Oversee daily cleaning checklists and assist with laundry or restocking supplies as needed.
- Identify and report maintenance or repair needs to ownership.
Culinary Support (Preferred, but Not Required)
- Willingness to occasionally assist with breakfast or dinner shifts when needed.
- Food service or kitchen experience is a plus.
General Innkeeping & Operations
- Assist with special events, guest experiences, and seasonal décor updates.
- Light property upkeep (e.g., changing light bulbs, tidying outdoor spaces).
- Work closely with ownership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Who You Are
Hospitality-minded with a warm, welcoming attitude.
- Guest service experience in hotels, B&Bs, restaurants, or similar.
- Strong communicator—comfortable with guest interactions and phone calls.
- Detail-oriented—you notice the little things and take initiative.
- Multitasker—able to shift between front desk, housekeeping oversight, and guest services.
- Culinary interest is a bonus! Experience in food service or a willingness to help in the kitchen is a plus.
- Reliable & flexible—willing to jump in where needed.
