Organic Farm-to-Table Maine Bed and Breakfast

Serving Fresh Delicious Meals Everyday. Locally Sourced Whenever Possible.

We want everyone to be happy at breakfast. So, we give you choices! At our Maine bed and breakfast, we serve a delicious farm-to-table breakfast every morning in the Maine room, but the dining style is up to you. We offer both family-style seating, where you can mingle with other guests, or private two-person tables overlooking the lake for a more personal and intimate dining experience. Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 9:30 am, but our organic local coffee and variety of tea options are ready by 7:00 am for early risers!

Wolf Cove Inn’s food selections will be dedicated to serving the highest quality and most carefully selected food ingredients, utilizing organic choices whenever possible while paying it forward to the hard-working farmers and growers who keep the state of Maine well fed.

It is our mission to ensure the guests of Wolf Cove Inn have access to some of the best quality food sources directly from the state of Maine. As we look to the future, we are continuously meeting as many growers, farmers, and distributors in Maine whenever possible.

Homemade Breakfast Menu

Each morning, we craft a thoughtful, locally inspired breakfast with a balance of sweet and savory options. Some guest favorites include:

  • Sweet: Berry Toast with Whipped Ricotta, Cottage Cheese Pancakes with Roasted Strawberries (GF), and Vanilla Brown Butter Oatmeal.
  • Savory: Our signature Crispy Cheesy Egg over a bed of spinach and pan-fried cheddar, a veggie cheddar quiche, a build-your-own omelet, and perhaps our most popular dish—Eggs Over Easy on Shakshouka.

We proudly source proteins from local farms, offering bacon, maple breakfast sausage, and Canadian bacon. Our breakfast sides feature locally grown potatoes—gold or sweet—prepared as home fries and served with a fresh breakfast salad.

At Wolf Cove Inn, we are committed to thoughtful, high-quality cooking. We avoid processed ingredients and seed oils, focusing instead on minimally processed, low-inflammatory methods that highlight the natural flavors of our ingredients.

We believe in knowing where your food comes from and prioritize organic, local, and farm-to-table ingredients whenever possible. From fresh eggs and dairy to seasonal produce and meats, we work closely with trusted Maine farms and purveyors, including:

Misty Brook Farms, The Milkhouse, Crooked Face Creamery, Balfour Farms, Nature’s Henhouse, Cold Spring Ranch, Nature’s Circle Farm, Ironwood Farm, The Good Crust, Maine Grains, Wild Fruitiness, The Apple Farm, Springdale Farm, and regional distributors like Peak Season Produce and Crown O’ Maine.

We even source granola locally from Healing Home Foods in Oxford and English muffins from Bakefield’s—a small-batch baker whose side gig happens to be stand-up comedy! And our coffee? It comes from 44 North Coffee in Deer Isle, a fantastic women-owned roastery committed to quality and sustainability.

Meet Breakfast Chef Janek Luksza

Janek joined Wolf Cove Inn in 2023, originally as part of our housekeeping and service team. With a natural talent and growing passion for the culinary arts, he quickly found his stride in the kitchen—rising through the ranks to become our Head Breakfast Chef. A born-and-raised Mainer and recent graduate of the University of Southern Maine, Janek brings heart, hustle, and a calming presence to every morning service.

His culinary journey began at Seeds of Peace summer camp, where he worked his way up from dishwasher to sous chef—discovering the unique peace that comes from working in the rhythm of a bustling kitchen.
