We often head east to explore other regions and day-trip destinations to recommend to guests of our bed and breakfast in Poland Maine. On one of our recent treks, we spent the day exploring in Brunswick, and of course, stopped at one of our favorite restaurants for a great cup of chowdah. Here are 7 reasons to take a day trip to Brunswick, ME.
Brunswick is a college town, home of Bowdoin College, one of Maine’s “Ivies”. The lovely campus hosts historic homes and interesting museums to haunt. Once home to wealthy shipbuilders, Brunswick has maintained that small town feel with New England charm. Its vibrant downtown district sports lively cafes and cool shops to browse, and the arts and entertainment offerings are impressive for a small college town.
