Snow Tubing In Maine At Lost Valley Ski Area
Many great winter activities can be found near the Wolf Cove Inn. Now you may add snow tubing in Maine to the list!
Lost Valley Ski Area has long been a treasured “feeder” ski area. Folks learn to ski and practice their skills before heading off to the big boys like Sugarloaf and Sunday River. Lost Valley now offers weekend snow tubing to the public.
Enjoy your tubing on several 600 foot long, groomed, tubing lanes. Available Saturdays and Sundays, you can purchase a one-hour per session tubing pass for $16 per person. The price includes your tube as well as rope tows up the hill for as many runs as you can swing in the session. Unlike when you were a kid with your Flexible Flyer, there is no uphill hiking involved!
On Saturdays and Sundays, sessions start times are every hour on the hour, the first at 10AM and the last at 3PM.

Other Activities At Lost Valley
Lost Valley Ski Area also offers both downhill and Nordic skiing.
Enjoy 19 trails of downhill, or Alpine skiing, accessed by three lifts. Snowmaking and grooming cover all trails on 45 acres of terrain. If you’ve never skied before, call their ski school and they’ll have you shushing down the slopes no time. Trust me, you can do it! As a PSIA level 1 ski coach at Sugarloaf, my “never-evers” finished their lessons able to ski and stop safely. Furthermore, most of them never fell either on the slopes or getting off the lift. This was typically the greatest fear and it never came to pass. So I encourage you to “go for it!”
The Nordic center offers 10 trail segments on 15km of wooded, groomed trails. Access the trails near the base lodge of the ski area. No walkers, snowshoers or pets at the Nordic center please.
A base lodge offers food, drink and rest facilities. And they offer a Brew Pub! You can rent skis and snowboards at the lodge. Check the Lost Valley web site for operating hours as they can change year to year.
