Cruise past protected shoreline, classic Maine lake cottages, quiet coves, and rolling wooded hillsides. Take in some of the most beautiful scenery surrounding Wolf Cove Inn. Along the way, keep an eye out for Tripp Lake wildlife. You may spot loons, ducks, osprey, great blue herons, turtles, and bald eagles.
Enjoy a peaceful morning on the water. Share cocktails at sunset. Celebrate a special occasion or plan an unforgettable proposal.
Golden Hour offers a private lake cruise experience centered around relaxation, scenery, wildlife, and the natural beauty of Tripp Lake.
All cruises are operated by a USCG-licensed captain. Cruises are available June through October, weather permitting.

Shared Lake Cruise

Cruise the shoreline aboard Golden Hour and experience the beauty of Tripp Lake from the water. More time to cruise, swim, and settle into lake life
Lake swimming in Maine doesn't get much better than a quiet afternoon on Tripp Lake. This extended shared experience includes everything guests enjoy about our standard lake cruise, along with an additional 30 minutes to slow down, relax, and, when conditions allow, stop for a refreshing swim in Tripp Lake.
Guests may choose to take a dip or simply remain aboard and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Swimming is always subject to weather, lake conditions, and the captain’s discretion.

- Advance reservations are required.
- We will always do our best to accommodate requested cruise dates and times.
- All cruises are subject to captain availability.
Children
- Children are welcome aboard Golden Hour.
- They must remain under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian at all times.
- Children under 2 years of age are not permitted aboard.
Food & Beverage Policy
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted aboard Golden Hour.
- Complimentary Poland Spring bottled water is included with every cruise.
- Alcoholic beverages may only be purchased with food prepared by the Wolf Cove Inn kitchen.
Weather Policy
Guest safety is our highest priority. The decision to operate a cruise is made solely by the USCG-licensed captain.
Weather, wind, visibility, lake conditions, and overall safety are always considered.
If a cruise cannot safely operate, Wolf Cove Inn will make every effort to:
- Reschedule the cruise during your stay
- Apply prepaid cruise funds as a credit during your stay
- Issue a full refund if neither option is possible
Cancellation Policy
- Cruises cancelled within 72 hours of departure are non-refundable.
- Cruises cancelled more than 72 hours before departure receive a refund, less a 10% processing fee.
- No-shows are non-refundable.
Seasonal Considerations
- Golden Hour is available June through October, weather permitting.
- Wildlife sightings, cruise routes, and timing may vary based on weather and lake conditions.
Swimming
- Swimming may be offered during the Extended Shared Lake Cruise & Swim and eligible private cruise experiences when weather, lake conditions, timing, and location permit. All swimming is subject to the sole discretion of the USCG-licensed captain.
- The vessel must be safely anchored with the engine shut down before guests enter the water.
- Guests must follow all instructions provided by the captain and use required safety equipment when directed.
- Swimming is optional, and guests are always welcome to remain aboard and enjoy the lake.
Captain Gratuity
An additional 18% gratuity is applied to all Golden Hour Lake Cruise experiences and provided to your USCG-licensed captain. Guests are always welcome to leave an additional gratuity when exceptional service makes their time on Tripp Lake especially memorable, but it is never expected.
